KINGSTON, JAMAICA – APRIL 29, 2026 Fifty-year-old Katherine Wallace, also known as “Kathy,” was fatally stabbed during an argument on Love Lane in the city center. According to police, she got into a conflict with Davar Dacres, known as “Davy,” with whom she had been drinking for several hours beforehand. The dispute reportedly began over a cup of ice and escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Dacres used a knife and repeatedly stabbed Wallace in the upper body.
Dacres fled the scene, but police later located him at the intersection of Hanover Street and Beeston Street. According to the police account, he was still armed with a knife, refused to put it down, and then allegedly attacked the officers. Police shot him, and Dacres later died in the hospital.
