RIO BRANCO, ACRE, BRAZIL – JULY 3, 2018 Sixteen-year-old Igor Silva was kidnapped and interrogated by alleged members of the Bonde dos 13 gang. He was subsequently stabbed to death in a wooded area of the Recanto dos Buritis neighborhood. A video showing his interrogation before the murder spread across social media. According to the investigative theory, Igor may have been a member of the rival Comando Vermelho faction and passed information about Bonde dos 13’s activities to it. However, his alleged gang membership and the motive for the murder were not clearly confirmed in the available reports.
