RECIFE, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 16, 2026 Motorcyclist died in a serious traffic accident on the BR-101 highway in the northern part of Recife, Brazil. After colliding with a passenger car, he fell onto the road, where he was subsequently run over by a truck, which crushed his head.
The accident occurred at kilometer 58 of the highway near the Passarinho neighborhood. According to Brazil’s Federal Highway Police, the motorcyclist first struck the side of a passenger car and was run over by a truck after falling onto the road. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles escaped without injuries. Breathalyzer tests conducted on both drivers returned negative results. The right lane had to be closed because of the accident while police and forensic teams carried out the necessary procedures at the scene.
