AMBAZONIA, CAMEROON Footage allegedly documents a crime against humanity committed by Cameroonian forces. According to available reports, more than 30 captives were herded into a house, which was then deliberately set on fire. Everyone inside reportedly died, either from smoke inhalation or being burned alive.
Ambazonia, located in western Cameroon, has long been the scene of an armed conflict involving separatist groups seeking independence from the central government. These groups regularly launch attacks against government forces, while the military frequently conducts raids on local villages in search of separatist fighters. International human rights organizations have repeatedly reported that such operations are often accompanied by property destruction, armed clashes, and human rights abuses affecting both suspected militants and civilians.
