Decomposed female body found on riverbank in Sumatra

SUMATRA, INDONESIA – JUNE 1, 2025 On the riverbank of the Taname River near the village of Kotaway, the body of a woman was found. It was already in an advanced stage of decomposition called skeletonization – a skeleton with the last remains of decomposed tissue. She was tied with a rope, so it is almost certain that she died a violent death. Her identity and any other information are unknown. The police continue to investigate the case.
