NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK, USA – APRIL 8, 2025 Decomposed body was discovered floating in the water near a pier by Railroad Place, sparking an intense police investigation. Due to the advanced state of decay, identifying the victim proved difficult at first. However, authorities later confirmed that the victim was a young male, estimated to be between 15 and 20 years old, and likely of either Black or Hispanic descent. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be homicide, citing trauma consistent with either blunt force or stab wounds. While many aspects of the case remain unclear, investigators are working diligently to determine what led to the young man’s tragic death.
