Witnesses say the man drove his partner into a corner and began beating her – punching her, choking her, and kicking her repeatedly.
When she tried to defend herself, it only made him more furious. In a fit of rage, he grabbed a machete and struck her multiple times.
That was when nearby witnesses intervened and were able to overpower the attacker.
The woman suffered moderate injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where she was stabilized by doctors.
The horrifying scene left customers shaken and sparked renewed calls for action against domestic violence.
