THAILAND It all started with excessive noise coming from a 30-year-old Thai man who was hosting a get-together with his friends. This disturbed his 57-year-old neighbor, who couldn’t sleep. The older man came over and demanded that they quiet down or end the party. He brought a gun with him to back up his demand.
The 30-year-old man, likely under the influence of alcohol, began provoking and taunting his neighbor, encouraging him to shoot. He shouted things like “Shoot! You don’t have the balls!” He was convinced the man wouldn’t pull the trigger. In response, the neighbor fired a warning shot into the air. But it had the opposite effect – the younger man became even more certain the gun wouldn’t be used and kept provoking him. Then came a shot aimed straight at his head.
The latest reports say that the victim is alive and in critical condition, hospitalized in intensive care. No further updates are known.
