The cause of her death was probably poisoning. Traces of black charcoal around her mouth and in her small intestine. Someone tried to save her life by administering black charcoal before she died.
Her heart shows signs of fatty infiltration and her liver is grossly deformed. This may indicate that the woman was a heavy drinker.
