NALDANGA, NATORE, BANGLADESH – AUGUST 1, 2025 16-year-old Noman Mridha wanted to take a shortcut across a railway bridge. When the Panchagarh Express train, traveling from Panchagarh to Dhaka, appeared on the horizon, he couldn’t react quickly enough and was struck and run over. According to eyewitnesses, he panicked and tripped over one of the sleepers. His body was torn into several pieces, with no chance of survival.
