Victims of gas explosion in Nigeria

PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA – JANUARY 4, 2025 Tragic gas explosion occurred in the Port Harcourt area of the city, affecting more than 20 people, including a pregnant woman and four children. The explosion occurred at a gas cylinder shop where a technician inadvertently caused the explosion while repairing one of the damaged cylinders.

The explosion led to a chain explosion of other cylinders and a fire that affected adjacent buildings. 18 people had to be taken to the local university hospital due to the severity of their injuries. According to all available information, no one died.
