BRAZIL Group of militant police officers cold-bloodedly execute a suspect during an arrest. A local resident manages to capture the moment on video. It is clear that the suspect can no longer resist and is likely unarmed. Yet, one of the officers fires a bullet into his head.
Such behavior is unacceptable for a police officer. It violates all ethical codes and is, of course, murder. On the other hand, it is known that police officers in Brazil have a very difficult job. They are in a daily war with criminals and gangsters. It is an open secret that police sometimes resort to such acts against perpetrators who have killed one of their colleagues.
While some level of human understanding for the individual officers is possible, violence never justifies violence and only deepens hatred towards the entire police force.
