INDIA Video shows the horrific aftermath of a mass casualty accident. Several cars, trucks, but also a few motorbikes or scooters collided. At least one man died when his head was left under the car’s wheel. Many others suffered serious injuries.
The video highlights the fact that motorcyclists are some of the most vulnerable road users. When accidents happen, they have nothing to protect them except special clothing and helmets. Unfortunately, the dead man was not wearing a helmet.
It’s worth noting the poor behaviour of the witnesses to the accident. Instead of providing immediate first aid, they prefer to walk among the victims and take video. In cases like this, it is important to call the emergency services as soon as possible. Then distinguish who needs first aid most acutely and who has a chance of survival.
