The alleged member
The Eiye Cult is one of several secret student societies in Nigeria, founded in the 1960s at the University of Ibadan. Initially an academic and social group promoting brotherhood and professionalism, it has since evolved into a violent and criminal organization involved in armed conflicts, murders, extortion, and drug trafficking.
Along with other gangs like Black Axe and Buccaneers, the Eiye Cult engages in power struggles for control over politics and organized crime. Despite government crackdowns, these groups continue to operate both on university campuses and in broader society.
