A 40-year-old man, Arturo Isaac Mez Cuz, attacked his daughter’s boyfriend in a fit of rage and under the influence of alcohol. The 29-year-old victim was at the family home at the time, helping to repair furniture.
The incident occurred on December 25, 2024, when a heated argument broke out between the father and his daughter’s boyfriend. The situation quickly escalated, and Arturo Mez Cuz grabbed a hammer, striking the young man on the head. The blow landed on the left side of his head, causing severe injuries. Despite the family’s efforts to transport him to the hospital, the young man succumbed to his injuries.
The attacker was detained by neighbors and family members who witnessed the tragedy. Arturo Mez Cuz was later handed over to the police and taken to a station, where he now faces charges of murder. Local residents and the broader community are deeply shaken by this event.
