HIGÜEY, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – JANUARY 14, 2025 Mother whose daughter was a victim of rape and murder brought her daughter’s remains to the local courthouse, where she dumped them on the ground. She said she did this out of sheer desperation to draw more media attention to her case.
According to her, her daughter was brutally murdered and raped more than 10 months ago, but police investigations failed to find any culprits and her death went unpunished. She feels that the case of her death is no longer being solved even by the police.
She also said that she is extremely uncomfortable with the handling of her daughter’s remains, but feels it is the only way to attract attention.
