Attack on zookeeper by lion in Mashhad Vakilabad Zoo

MASHHAD, IRAN At Vakilabad Zoo, a male lion attacked a zookeeper. At the moment when the zookeeper entered the lion’s cage, as he had done many times before, the animal lunged at him and knocked him to the ground. The man sustained serious injuries during his struggle for life. The attack was ended only by a police officer who was forced to shoot the animal with his service weapon.
