DACHAU, BAVARIA, GERMANY Dachau concentration camp was one of the first Nazi concentration camps and became a model example for many others, including the infamous Auschwitz. At first, the camp was used to imprison political opponents, but later the Nazis also used it for the extermination of unwanted groups of people, such as Jews, Roma, homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and others. Prisoners here were subjected to inhuman conditions, cruel treatment, and forced labor for the Third Reich. From 1941, medical experiments were even conducted on the prisoners. It is estimated that over 41,000 people died in the camp over its entire existence.
The photos are authentic and show the conditions of prisoners in this death camp at that time. They are direct evidence of the brutality and war crimes committed by the Nazi regime. This part of history must always be remembered, and younger generations must be educated about it. Only in this way can we ensure that history never repeats itself.
