MAUÉS, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 17, 2026 Unidentified man was found unconscious and with serious injuries on a rural road in the Mirimorais area near the Brazilian city of Maués. The victim was covered in blood, had a stab wound to the neck, part of his tongue had been cut off, and he was bleeding heavily from the mouth. Paramedics provided first aid and transported him to Raimundo Franceso Dinelli General Hospital.
According to preliminary information, the man was labeled “X-9,” a criminal term for a person suspected of leaking information. Investigators believe he was tortured and subsequently dumped by the roadside.
