SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – DECEMBER, 2024 Tragedy occurred in the Obrero neighborhood that claimed the life of only 12-year-old Will Melvin Fernández. He and his friends were flying kites, but his kite got tangled in an electrical cable. He climbed to the third floor of the building and touched the wires while trying to take down the kite. He was electrocuted and died on the spot.
His death is a reminder of how risky even seemingly innocent actions can be. It’s also a warning to all parents to keep a close eye on their little ones.
