CIUDAD DE GUATEMALA, GUATEMALA – JANUARY 19, 2025 Video captures the moment 30-year-old Felipe Ruiz throws himself off the iconic Belize Bridge. Apparently, he was disappointed in love and heartbroken. He then did the worst possible thing and got drunk, which drove him to depression, which led him to the edge of the bridge.
Despite the fact that emergency services in the form of firefighters and city police officers were already on the scene, no one was able to stop him from jumping. Even random witnesses from among the citizens tried to stop him from doing so and pleaded with him not to do so.
But the story of Felipe Ruiz has a happy ending. He miraculously survived the fall. He was taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
