BRONX, NEW YORK CITY, USA – MAY 1, 2024 Security camera captured the brutal assault of a 45-year-old woman near East 152nd Street and Third Avenue. She is walking down a New York City street at night when a man approaches her from behind. He wraps a belt around her neck, pulls her to the ground and begins choking her. When the woman loses consciousness, he rapes her (not part of the video).
When the victim saw the video footage, she recognized her attacker and identified him as 39-year-old Kashaan Parks. They knew each other from the neighborhood.

It is speculated that the attack was preceded by an offer of paid sex by the attacker. He offered her money for sex but she refused, which made him so angry that he attacked her and took it by force.
