SVERDLOVSK REGION, RUSSIA – MAY 23, 2010 Tragic traffic accident occurred at the 3rd kilometer of the Serov – Severouralsk highway, resulting in the loss of seven lives. The accident was caused by a young woman driving a Mitsubishi Lancer without a valid driver’s license.
According to reports, the driver lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons, veered off the road, and while trying to return to the highway, crossed into the opposite lane. There, she collided head-on with an oncoming Mitsubishi Outlander.
The consequences of the collision were devastating. All occupants of the Mitsubishi Lancer died at the scene before emergency services arrived. Among the victims were adults and children – besides the driver, the car carried other adults and two children, one of whom was not wearing a seatbelt.
The passengers in the Mitsubishi Outlander suffered varying degrees of injuries. The driver sustained serious head trauma and chest bruising, while wearing her seatbelt. Unfortunately, one front-seat passenger died at the scene, and another passenger suffered a fractured forearm and head injuries.
This tragic event highlights the dangers of driving without a license and the importance of wearing seatbelts.
