SINALOA, MEXICO – JANUARY 5, 2023 On Thursday, January 5, 2023, one of Mexico’s most important drug lords, Ovidio Guzmán López, also known as “El Ratón”, or “El Nuevo Ratón”, was arrested in the Jesús María neighborhood of Culiacán. He was at the top of the hierarchy of the well-known Sinaloa Cartel. This police action provoked a reaction from gang members who unleashed chaos in several places in Mexico. Shootings and looting began in the streets. In the video, one of the members of the cartel can allegedly be seen, who took part in these riots and was killed by the soldiers.
