GUANGZHOU, CHINA Xiang, 26, lived a very busy working life. It was common for her to finish work around 10pm and return home after dark. This was fatal for her. On one of her late returns home, she encountered a maniac who tortured and murdered her. The maniac severed the Achilles tendon in her right leg so that she could not escape him and then slowly strangled her to death. He then left her dumped in a remote area.
Although investigators say there was no penetration, the attack shows all the hallmarks of a sexually motivated assault. For some sadistic deviants, control and torture of the victim is all it takes for sexual gratification.
