CHINA Autoerotic asphyxiation is a practice in which a person restricts their own breathing to enhance feelings of arousal and increase the intensity of sexual experience. This technique involves limiting oxygen flow to the brain through choking, which can lead to a temporary feeling of euphoria or a more intense orgasm.
However, this activity is extremely dangerous and can easily result in serious injury or death, even with a small mistake or loss of control over the situation. When oxygen flow is restricted for too long, it can cause unconsciousness, increasing the risk of suffocation.
This 36-year-old Chinese woman also experimented with this practice. She even prepared a pair of scissors, as you can see in the photo, so that she could have something like a safety brake and quickly cut the noose. Unfortunately, she passed out before she could do it. Probably irritated her nervus vagus.
If you're thinking about self-harm, please stop and recognize that this won't solve the pain you're feeling. While it might seem like a way to cope, it leaves lasting scars, not just on your body but on your heart as well. There are healthier, safer ways to manage your emotions.
Every wound you inflict is a cry for help. You are not alone. Reaching out to someone you trust can be the first step toward finding a way out of this dark place. You deserve kindness, support, and real healing.
