LAIBIN, GUANGXI, CHINA Forensic investigators were called to the case of a female suicide jumper. She jumped from a building window and died at the scene upon impact – her head was literally shattered by the force of the impact. A subsequent autopsy revealed that she had been raped shortly before her death. One line of investigation considers the possibility that the psychological trauma caused by the rape may have been the motive for her suicide. However, the findings of the investigation and any information about the perpetrator being apprehended were never made public.
