CAUCA, COLOMBIA – APRIL 3, 2022 27-year-old Gloria Amparo Montoya Caicedo was surprised by a group of armed men at the bar where she worked as a bartender. They forcibly made her get into a van and took her away.

About thirty minutes later, police received a report of a dead female body found on a nearby road. She was identified as the kidnapped Gloria. She had a close-range gunshot wound to the head. A cartridge casing lay in the grass near her body, and there were blood and urine stains at the scene, indicating she was executed right there.
Her coworkers, who saw the kidnappers, refused to cooperate with the police in any way, likely out of fear for their own lives. Her killers were never caught, and the case was closed as unsolved.
