Complicated tooth extraction

Video shows a complicated (surgical) extraction of the right upper front tooth (11, Dens incisivus centralis dexter superior). The tooth was already below the level of the gum, and the doctor had to resort to using a screw post extractor. A hole is drilled into the tooth, into which a specialized instrument is inserted to pull out the remaining root. The doctor has to resort to such extractions if the patient neglects dental visits for a long time, or if the original tooth is ground down (e.g., for a crown).
