PARINTINS, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – MARCH 19, 2024 49-year-old madman identified as Jovane Matos has been arrested for the murder of his 40-year-old wife, Izandra Batista Bentes, and 19-year-old daughter, Camile Batista Bentes. He shot both of them in the head at close range with a handgun. He also wanted to murder his 17-year-old son, but the gun failed and the son pacified him and held him until the police arrived. If the son did not do it, he planned to commit suicide.

This heinous act took place on Rua Tomaszinho Meireles in the Itaúna district. The exact motivation of the killer is unknown, but it is believed that they had serious marital disagreements.
