Rough footage shows the aftermath of a collision between a pedestrian and a rickshaw. He suffered a completely crushed right leg, including an open fracture of the femur. Random witnesses loaded him into another rickshaw on their own, which transported him to the hospital. The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known.
First aid in similar cases consists of immediately stopping the bleeding and calling emergency medical services. If the leg is crushed like this it is recommended to use a tourniquet. A sterile piece of cloth, such as a T-shirt, can be used as an improvised tourniquet. Never try to push a protruding bone back in.
