CUMILLA, BANGLADESH – JULY 1, 2025 When residents of the Cumilla area noticed a strong, foul smell coming from a septic tank, they opened the lid and made a shocking discovery. Inside was the rotting corpse of a woman, stuffed into a plastic bag.
Police identified the deceased as 50-year-old Ferdousi Begum Noyon. She had been reported missing for five days, since Friday, June 27.

Two individuals have been detained in connection with the murder, including her brother-in-law, Alamgir Hossain. Locals suspect the motive may have been related to family disputes. However, this has not yet been confirmed, and the case remains under active police investigation.
