Dead body floating in Ganges River

INDIA Dead human body was spotted floating on the surface of the Ganges River in India. This is not an isolated occurrence – the presence of human bodies in the river is relatively common. The reason is primarily related to funeral practices. In some cases, bodies are only partially cremated or not cremated at all before being placed in the river, for example because of poverty or certain religious customs.
