PORTLAND, OREGON, USA – APRIL, 2026 Dead body was found in the Willamette River, when passersby spotted a human body floating in the water and called emergency services. Police and firefighters recovered the body on site and subsequently closed the area for investigation.
According to subsequent investigation, it turned out that the victim is related to a traffic accident in which a vehicle left the road and ended up in the water. Several people were traveling in the car, who after the impact ended up in a life-threatening situation, and some of them were later found without signs of life.
Investigators worked with the version that it was not caused by another party, but a tragic accident that ended with the vehicle falling into the river. The bodies of the victims were gradually recovered and handed over to the coroner for identification.
