ALICIA, ISABELA, PHILIPPINES – JUNE 28, 2016 Dead body of a woman was found on the side of the Paddad-Rizal road. She was later identified as 28-year-old Jonalindy Viernes. There were several gunshot wounds on her body – two in the head and one in the side.
The gruesome scene was first reported by Jun Briones, a 41-year-old resident of the area who was out jogging. He noticed the lifeless body and immediately alerted the local Barangay Chairman, Ernesto Macato. Authorities quickly arrived at the scene, where they found the victim’s body, which had been bound with brown packaging tape around her arms, legs, and mouth.
The victim, who stood between 4’6″ and 5’0″ in height, was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and black shorts, and had several distinguishing tattoos: a tribal tattoo on her back and a flower tattoo on her shoulder. Additionally, she was found wearing silver jewelry, including a ring on her right ring finger and a bracelet on her left arm.
