Images from the aftermath show the bodies of several alleged members of the regime’s armed and security forces.
According to the report, US special forces carried out the operation before dawn, targeting military and political sites around Caracas. Maduro was reportedly captured and taken to the United States, while Venezuela was left facing a major political crisis.
