FORTALEZA, CEARÁ, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 30, 2018 On the outskirts of the Álvaro Weyne and Jardim Iracema neighborhoods, known for their high crime rates and drug activities, near the Urubu lagoon, the body of a woman was found. She had been decapitated, and her head was taken to another location.
The victim
The fact that her shorts were unbuttoned and her breasts exposed raised suspicion among the police of sexual assault. This was later confirmed by the autopsy.
The investigation led the police to the victim’s father, a drug dealer known by the nickname “Baldy.” Dealers from rival factions had previously executed his son as an act of revenge. It is believed that the motive for her murder was the same.
