MORAES ALMEIDA, ITAITUBA, PARÁ, BRAZIL – MAY 20, 2013 In a family home in the Moraes Almeida district, a double murder occurred. Adevir Regelin (nicknamed Catarino do Arroz) had a heated argument with his wife, 20-year-old Cynthia Maria Silva e Silva, and his mother-in-law, Osmarina Alves Silva. During the dispute, he lost control, grabbed a 12-gauge shotgun, and shot them both.

After the murders, he managed to flee the house before the police arrived. He remained at large for a long time, and it is unknown whether he was ever captured. Police investigations revealed that he had strong business connections with gangs and drug dealers.
