ACARI, BRAZIL – JANUARY 20, 2013 Jacirlei Maria de Lima, 21, divorced her boyfriend, known as “Zomim”. He did not accept the break-up and started threatening her. But she didn’t take his threats seriously. But he really started stalking her with the worst intentions.

In the early hours of 20 January 2013, he caught up with her at a place known as Praça do Galo and attacked her with a knife. He lashed out with such intensity that Jacirlei had no chance to defend herself. When military police arrived at the scene, they pronounced her dead.
