TAIWAN – NOVEMBER 26, 2025 Bus driver overlooked an elderly man crossing the pedestrian crosswalk while turning. He hit him and ran over him. The 87-year-old man was crushed and died on the spot. The tragedy was captured by a dashcam from one of the drivers.
The incident was likely a combination of circumstances, as the victim did not look around sufficiently and was in the wrong place at the wrong time – right in the bus driver’s blind spot. Nevertheless, legal responsibility primarily lies with the driver.
