DUACA, LARA STATE, VENEZUELA – JUNE 17, 2026 Tragic accident occurred in which a 90-year-old man lost his life. The accident happened in a section known as Patapalo on the descending part of the intercity road connecting Barquisimeto and Duaca.
According to available information, the elderly man Don Félix Jácome was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene after the accident. The man suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors fought to save his life.
However, his condition was also complicated by long-term health problems, including an implanted pacemaker. Despite the care provided by medical staff, his condition gradually worsened and he died from his injuries the following day.
The case continues to be investigated by local authorities, who are examining the circumstances of the accident and searching for the suspected driver.
