MANAUS, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL In a remote area of the Tarumã neighborhood, located in the western part of the city, the bodies of a young woman and man were found. Both showed signs of torture and beating. The man had his throat slashed, and the woman had a gunshot wound to her abdomen.
Neighbors identified them by their faces and said the two were a couple involved in the city’s drug trade. Allegedly, they both dealt drugs for one of the gangs. It is assumed their deaths are closely connected to this activities.
