Father and his young son came to see the dam being released. This event attracted many onlookers from the surrounding area, who often stood perilously close to the shore in an attempt to get the best spots. The two of them were no exception. But the little boy fell into the water and the whirlpool created by the strong current of water did not allow him to get back. His father thoughtlessly jumped into the water after him, but the current carried him completely to the other side and did not allow him to reach his son. Unfortunately, the little boy drowned. His father survived.
The basic rule of first aid is to help, but never endanger yourself. This is true on an airplane when putting on an oxygen mask, but it’s also true in everyday life. Always try not to be emotional, but sensible. If he hadn’t jumped in and handed him a stick or a trouser belt, for example, everything could have turned out fine.
