Female biker seriously injured in collision between fruit truck and bus

MARANHÃO, BRAZIL – JANUARY 24, 2026 On the MA‑201 road in the São Luís metropolitan area, a serious traffic accident occurred involving a bus, a fruit truck, and a motorcycle. The incident happened when the fruit truck suddenly stopped at a pedestrian crossing. The bus driver behind it was unable to react in time and collided with the truck from behind. This caused the fruit truck to tip onto its side, cutting across the path of a woman, Maria da Solidade, riding a motorcycle in the opposite direction. She bore the brunt of the accident, suffering severe injuries and had to be transported to the hospital in critical condition, where fortunately she was stabilized.
