BAHIA, BRAZIL – FEBRUARY 25, 2025 There was a fatal crash of a moto taxi on BR-324. The driver lost control of his motorcycle, causing the female passenger to be ejected. She severely injured her head so that her skull fractured and her brain spilled out. She was dead at the scene. The driver received immediate first aid from bystanders and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Although it is not common in Brazil to wear a helmet as a passenger in a moto taxi, you should always and everywhere keep this in mind. A helmet could have saved a life in this case as well.
