PORTOVIEJO, ECUADOR – APRIL 17, 2024 Female member of the police force identified as Estefany Álvarez died in a traffic accident involving a city bus. She was traveling on a motorcycle when the bus driver failed to notice her and struck her at high speed on Urbina Avenue. The impact was so strong that she remained trapped under the wheels. In critical condition she was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
