CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES – APRIL 14, 2026 Head-on collision between a motorcycle and an ambulance occurred near the overpass along Archbishop Reyes Avenue. The accident claimed the life of an 18-year-old university student, Braille Nichole Kwek, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle. The motorcycle driver, also a university student, 19-year-old Antonio Seares Ladioray, suffered serious injuries.

According to reports, the crash was apparently caused by the ambulance driver, who was traveling in the wrong direction at high speed while transporting a 78-year-old elderly woman to the hospital. Juan and Braille were returning to school after their lunch break.
