DERA ISMAIL KHAN, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA, PAKISTAN – OCTOBER 6, 2026 Four Pakistani customs officials were shot dead by unidentified gunmen. According to police, the attackers opened fire on a vehicle carrying Federal Board of Revenue personnel near Abhaya Bridge in the Qureshi Morr area. Four people were killed in the attack, after which the shooters fled the scene.
Police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. A separate attack on a highway police vehicle also occurred in the city on the same day, in which police officer Muhammad Habib was killed and another officer was injured.
