RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 26, 2026 Man allegedly linked to the Comando Vermelho drug gang was shot dead during an armed confrontation in the Quitanda community in the northern part of Rio de Janeiro. Following his death, members of a rival group recorded a video showing the victim’s body with his face severely disfigured by gunshot wounds. One of the men behind the camera remarked: “He was left without a face.”
