POIPET, CAMBODIA – JANUARY 8, 2025 Facebook page Drama-addict published surveillance footage showing a man, reportedly a Thai citizen, jumping from the 14th floor of a casino in the city of Poipet. The incident occurred in an 18-story building adjacent to a 25-story structure, which, according to former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, is known as a base for fraudulent call centers.
The footage shows the man running on the 14th floor, attempting to climb over the railing, and then jumping off. Before the jump, someone appears to try to restrain him, but unsuccessfully. It is unclear whether this was a conflict between partners or another situation.
The building from which the man jumped is known as a casino and illegal call center, reportedly employing Thai citizens who were deceptively recruited for work. In the past, there have been several incidents of Thai citizens falling from heights in this location.
